All Hallow’s Eve are a couple of perl and shell scripts that bring a spooky animated feel to your BeOS desktop. This is my little attempt at bringing animated icons using the funky ability of attributes!

The code is only a couple of lines so changing it to a Python script version would be very easy indeed – if you want to help please contact me or I will try and hack something together very nasty in the future.

These scripts are useful if you want to have some animation on your desktop — whether you are counting down to a certain date or you simply just want a nice bit of animation.

• New icons can be easily used with only minor changes to the source code;
• There are perl and shell versions of the same script so take your choice!
